BILL EUGENE WALL

Electrical Contractor

Proud Veteran of the United States Army: Active Tour of Duty 2005 to 2013 with three combat deployments to Iraq.  I ended my military career as a 19D Calvary scout. In addition to structure, and sense of purpose I learned skill sets that are absolutely needed for any successful business undertaking:  Chain of command, and the exponential power of teamwork drive success.  Regardless of the task, relying on these core concepts, learned in the military are the tools that help me navigate through all tasks.

I left the military in 2013 with an honorable medical discharge. I continued my education by enrolling in Trident Technical College where I received my associates degree in applied science.

Later, I became a Master Electrician in 2021.   Married to my partner, Naomi in 2014, we have a combined family of three boys and one daughter. We are dedicated to the principal of educating through example.  We continue to take business courses and read and practice management strategies. By including our children in our growth plan and applying the principals to our home, the children learn to set goals, build a team, and execute their plans.

FIELD MANAGEMENT

JEFF COYNE

Field cooridinator

Jeff has been with American Vet Works since it began in 2016. Before that, he and founder Sheri Stevens managed carpentry crews across the U.S., building over 500 Barnes and Noble stores and numerous retail and hospitality projects. Their work under The Incorporation Liberty Installation Inc. earned two prestigious ISP Retail Interior Design awards.

As brick-and-mortar retail began to decline pre-COVID, Jeff transitioned to American Vet Works, our government-focused business. He assembled a diverse team to fulfill orders for essential items like chemo gowns during the pandemic. His role expanded to include bidding, estimating, and managing contracts, including a long-standing blanket contract for VISN 6 Veterans Administration. This contract involves complex recycling and waste removal tasks, requiring coordination with government personnel, outside resources, and specialized transport.

American Vet Works, as a WOSB organization, prioritizes government mandates, such as those related to electric vehicles and charging. Jeff evaluates products nationwide and organizes ‘drive and learn’ demonstrations for government facilities. His expertise now spans various areas of government procurement, including storage solutions and installing shelving. Jeff has also handled prison meal contracts, facility graphics and signage, and award programs for government and private hospitals. MISSION STATEMENT

Sheri Stevens

President of American Vet Works

Founded 2016 – WOSB

After earning a BFA from the New York Institute of Technology, Sheri Stevens founded Gotham Installations in 1997, following a chance meeting with Barnes and Noble’s construction staff. As Barnes and Noble embarked on a 25-year, 50-state expansion, Gotham Installations became their go-to partner, sourcing millwork and building interiors for over 400 stores. This required extensive licensing, including the challenging California Contractors license, nationwide insurance, and union reciprocity.

With the support of hardworking carpenters and a reliable CPA, Stevens built teams capable of handling simultaneous projects across the country. Gotham soon expanded its client base, working with major brands like WeWork, Cheesecake Factory, and Hudson News, including the entire JetBlue Terminal 5 at JFK Airport.

Gotham also launched American Vet Works, Inc., a government procurement business. Initially focused on global and domestic sourcing, they provided millions of dollars of PPE to the Veterans Administration during COVID-19. Following a presidential mandate for electric vehicles, the company shifted to vetting and demonstrating electric vehicles and chargers, as well as providing custom medical and facility supplies to the VA. With government mandates evolving, Gotham’s product line continues to adapt, currently focusing on achieving 100% electric government facilities by 2030.

Sheri Stevens has led her Woman-Owned Small Business to over $29 million in government contracts, with a perfect CPARS record and recognition as an Empire State Woman Minority Business Affiliate.
